What have you learnt from audience feedback?
Pitch
This is the very first audience feedback I received when I gave my own suggestion for a film idea. The reason why I created my own film idea was because the group needed to know who had a vision for good ideas and who was able to see the film in your head for specific camera angles when spoken.
From the very beginning I was confident in my film idea, which was based on a husband and wife relationship. The husband believed that the relationship as a whole was going well and everything was fine. I presented the husband as a boring, dull and none adventurous guy in a way so that the wife, who was exciting and full of life, had an affair with her husbands boss. At the end the husband is so astonished by his wife's behaviour he leaves the house and the marriage. The last shot is an extreme long shot which zooms into a close up shot of the husband as he turns and grins, at the house then fades to black.
I have learnt from my audience feedback of my pitch, that I do have creative ideas, as said by my peers. All that I needed was organisation for filming and seeing the filming process through to the end. Elements of my film need more thought, for example I said that the film would be shot at a council office to which my peers said 'How are you going to get permission to do this?' I replied 'My mum works at the Council and we can use one of their rooms, that doesn't get used that often'. They were impressed by this and liked the idea.

Treatment
The treatment was produced in groups with four members to each group. The process took some time because our group combined elements from each others film pitches. A constant difficulty that I faced when writing the treatment, was that it must contain no dialogue.
This is the final treatment that I have produced.
A passion of a bleeding Rose film treatment
The major significant thing that I have learnt is that the treatment must have only camera shots and angles and tell a story through the camera lens and not a script, which has dialogue involved. This is difficult to remember because I am used to reading scripts and I tend to forget what is involved in making a treatment. Luckily all I had to do was to take the dialogue out and the treatment was complete. The main bulk of my film is good, when our peers listened to the treatment they could picture where the camera was positioned and what angle and shot it was. If we follow this treatment to the letter, our film should be amazing.
Audio Recording
This is a audio recording of my treatment with audience feedback.
First daft of film short and Final cut of film short.
When Binary Productions began the filming process, we all decided to create a Facebook page for ourselves and the actors to communicate, and discuss any of the difficulties the making of the film may present also we arranged when we shall all meet up and shot the film. Here is that Facebook page;
The audience feedback that I received from other groups was very
truthful and included comments about camera work, editing sound and music. I have embedded the
actual feedback that I have received from the groups.

Summary of feedback given by target audience Audio File
This provided a basic outline for what we need to do to improve our film short.
The feedback from this helped a great deal, so Binary Productions could change the film in significant ways. Here is the embedded film short draft ‘Passion Of A Bleeding Rose’ and the final version of ‘Passion Of A Bleeding Rose'.
This is the Final Cut
From watching the films I can see a clear
significant difference from the draft to the final version. The camera work was very
shaky and careless. For instance, in the Bathroom scene in the draft version the
camera is positioned towards the mirror for an over the shoulder shot of Chris
getting dressed, this is a mid shot, and in the frame you can see part of someone’s head
in the bottom right hand corner of the screen very briefly. We changed this
scene so you couldn’t see any ones head and opened the blinds because we need
more light than in the draft version which was very dark.
I have learnt a lot from the audience feedback for
completing our film because as the creators of ‘Passion Of A Bleeding Rose’ we
are very biased towards our own film being good. where as a person who is not a member
of the Binary Productions film company can have honest aspect on this, which
will make the film better when shooting the final version.
