Existing product research

I have watched two films that are similar to our film. I will explain how I took some ideas and incorporated them into our film short to benefit the film. Our film is called 'A Passion of a Bleeding Rose'

The first film I found that our film relates to with regard to the main theme i.e day repeating its self is, of course, GroundHog Day. GroundHog Day is about a news reporter whose day turns out to be a complete waste of time, so he is given the chance to repeat it. Unfortunately, circumstances dictate and the day repeats and repeats and repeats for about 1 week, where as ours repeats just once.

The clip below is a perfect example of what one of our film conventions are. This 8 minute clip shows a series of the same day repeated and repeated, over and over again, except with our version there is only 1 day repeated with a different outcome, like in this film. The film is called Groundhog Day; featuring Bill Murray.
There are similar shots in each scene but the action is the same, until Bill Murray's character changes it because he knows the outcome and can change it to his liking.

This gives me and our audience a slight glimpse into what our film will look like and what ideas we have included similar to some major films which are popular. Also it gives the audience a feel of what each day will look like and what we shall change to create  the subtle difference which make a film 'great'.
