I believe that the kind of person that would watch our film is the kind of person that would watch 'The Shawshank Redemption' because of its use of drama in a prison and the majority of the film follows one person as he tries to make prison more liveable for the other inmates and anybody could get beaten up or killed! Our film has a similar feel to it because our film tells the story of a young carer/son who looks after his terminally ill mum and it follows his story from beginning to end and how he deals with the situation. the relationship between the 'The Shawshank Redemption' characters is more professional as in friends, but the narrative is set around that relationship more than the action of the prison, this is the same with our film 'Passion Of A Bleeding Rose' because the audience follows the narrative of this son and his mother's relationship and not the violence becuase it doesn't play a major role in our film or the 'The Shawshank Redemption'.
